Leonards' Seafood & Prime Meats

Our food market features prime beef, veal, lamb and fresh seafood.

  • Prime, dry-aged beef
  • Exotic meats
  • Delivery and travel orders

Leonards' Seafood & Prime Meats is a third generation, family-owned business, which has been a fixture on Third Avenue since 1910.

We pride ourselves on serving and satisfying New York's most knowledgeable and discriminating consumers. Early each morning, we handpick our seafood selections just as our grandfather, Peter Leonard, did in the early 1900s. It would be our pleasure to fillet or prepare your seafood in any manner you wish.

SORRY FOR THE UNCONVENTIONAL WAY OF CONTACTING YOU Hello my name is Elaine Hall, from The United Kingdom, this might be a bit of a strange thing to ask, but I am trying to trace some of my family that used to have a Butchers shop in Long Island. Late 1940's and 1950's maybe longer I'm not sure. The Name's are George Barrack, married to Lily Hawker (Both from the UK originally) They had a Son also called George Barrack and a daughter called Mildred. I believe Mildred had two children, but I don't know their names. My Mother does have some early photo's which she is going to sort out for me. I don't if your customers are the same as My Grandfathers, but they loved to chat about the past, perhaps one of your customers may know of them. If you could help with any information I would be very grateful. My very kind regards, and hope that you will be able to help. Elaine Hall.

I go to this market at least once a week and I always have great service and the freshest seafood. I even get recipes free of charge from the guys behind the counter.
