Anta's Combat Kung Fu class is the best reality based street defense program around. I've been training with Mr. Anta for 5 months and have learned to defend against knife, gun and hand to hand combat. This class is not for kids but for adults that want to survive a street encounter. Anta is a former Marine Corps Sergeant and former prison guard. He holds the rank of Master in Hung Gar and is certified as an instructor in the Israeli art of Haganah and SABER knife fighting. This is not a tournament or martial arts sports class. This is a reality based street defense class. Anta has traveled throughout the USA teaching self defense. I highly recommend this class to law enforcement officers, military and law bidding citizens that want to feel empowered.

Pros: Great self defense and fitness classes

Cons: none unless you want an easy and quick black belt

Thank you City Search for listing Anta's Kung Fu Fitness Summer Camp. I enrolled my daughter for one week of camp. Today she asked me to enroll her for the remaining 7 weeks. What a change in my daughter in only one week. She says that she is now motivated to become a black belt and get in the best shape of her life. not bad for a girl that cried when we took her to camp the first day. The camp is super fun and has a friendly helpful staff.

Pros: fun fitness and kung fu

Cons: none

What a great class! I've trained in numerous big gyms in the area that had Pilates classes, yet none gave me the results that i got at Anta's Pilates. Elena is the most knowledgeable Pilates instructor in Miami. She genuinely cares about every client and seeing their results. I am now fit and trim and classes are so much fun.

Pros: Great class, caring and friendly staff

Cons: none

I was searching for a certified Pilates program in West Miami Dade for a while. I finally found one and I'm so glad I did. I feel great, the pain in my back is gone and my waist line is smaller. Elena is an awesome and expierenced certified Pilates mat and Pilates apparatus instructor. She's been teaching Pilates way before it became main stream. I've taken her Pilates mat, Pilates MVe Chair and private equipment classes. I highly recommend all her classes. She truly cares for her students and is knowledgeble, kind and considerate.

Pros: A true proffesional

Cons: none

II would like to thank the Anta family for the great job that they are doing in the Doral community changing lives for over 10 years. I wish that I would have know of this school when my child was 3. Yet, I'm glad that I found them after some negative experience at another martial arts school. Anta's Fitness and Self Defense is a true martial arts child development center. Sure there are many good kung fu, karate and Tae Kwon Do schools in South Florida, yet Anta's Kung Fu is not your an ordinary kicking school. A child gets a true martial arts education there. They teach children respect, how to succeed in life, a never give up attitude, how to achieve goals, how to defeat the bully in a non-violent way, Chinese culture, stranger danger and reality based self defense using Anta's background as a law enforcement officer, military background and diverse martial arts/fitness experience and through the Zig Zigglers "I-Can" program, Dr. Terrence Webster Doyle's Bully Busters program. I am extremely happy with the change in my son's behavior, grades and his weight loss. He loves to come to his kung fu class and is dressed and ready way before classes start. I highly recommend this martial arts fitness center. I challenge anyone looking for a martial arts school to try out other programs and then come by Anta's. There is a difference!

Pros: Age and level appropriate classes, friendly staff and instructors

Cons: none

To start, I would like to say the there are several other Martial Arts Schools in the Doral, FL area. There are two very good Karate Schools (Goju-Ryu and Shito-Ryu stiles) and at least one very good TaeKwon-Do school. I am surprised with some of the opinions expressed here regarding other schools in the area without any factual basis. How can anyone say that this or that school is the best or the worst without an in depth understanding of the style and its traditions, the methods and goals of the style taught by each school? All styles of Martial Arts, when properly taught, have great value for anyone willing to learn it. Be it to increase self-esteem, learn self-defense, learn discipline, etc. Another very important point to consider is that since we are far removed from the places of origin of these martial arts (Japan, China, Korea, etc) one of the most critical factors in determining how "good" a martial style is has a lot to do with how good the Shifu, Sensei, or Master teaching the stile is. Without going into more details, we should keep an open mind regarding all the Martial Arts styles/school by respecting each style and the people responsible for teaching it. We are all different people and as such we feel more/less comfortable practicing different stiles of Martial Arts. They are all beneficial to its practitioners as long they are properly taught.

The best program in Doral to teach children life skills and self defense. i had to take my son out of another karate school in Doral because the instructor made fun of my child and called him names. He talked down to the children and even the parants. He said that he was a world and national karate champion in his country and had been teaching karate for a long time and had to break my son. Well, thank God for Anta's Kung Fu. My son is motivated and loves coming to class. Master Anta is kind and teaches kids to achieve goals and never give up. Anta is an example of a fit martial arts instructor and leads by example. My son has become assertive, is moe focus, has learn to defeat bullies in a peaceful manner and is getting better grades. He now wants to achieve the rank of Black Belt and one day become a master just like Mr. Anta. I highly recommend Anta's Fitness and Self Defense to all my friends and relatives.

Pros: Impowering and realist classes

Cons: None

I highly recommend Anta's Fitness and Self Defense for anyone child or adult that want to get in the best shape of their lives or defend themselves. They truly belive their motto "Live Fit, Live fearless." The staff is freindly and helpful. The Anta's are always available to speak to students and give possitive advice. This is one of the most successfull and well recognized martial arts schools in South Florida established over 10 years ago.

Pros: expert martial arts and fitness

Cons: none

I love this school. Master Anta teaches age appropriate kung fu classes. He is a 3 time Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee. I take his adult class. We are lucky to have him here in Miami since he travels across the USA giving self defense seminars. What I like the best is open mindedness and the diversity of styles he teaches. He is a Hung Gar Kung Fu Master, certified Haganah Israeli Self Defense instructor, Serrada Escrima apprentice instructor, fitness instructor and has crossed trained in kickboxing and grappling. It is hard to find a martial arts school reality based street defense yet I found one. His biggest attribute is how well he treats his students and the mutual respect in the school. I highly recommend his classes.

Pros: Great class

Cons: None

I have had my kids in numerous martial arts schools and had them take introductory classes in others. Some had good instructors some bad, some had good self defense some no self defense. Some taught values and some were more like the Cobra Kai of the Karate Kid. Anta's is by far the best school in the area. I'm so glad that I found them. Anta's Fitness and Self Defense is one of the most successful and largest schools in Miami. Yet, Mr. Anta a Kung Fu Master, fitness instructor that has been inducted in 3 martial arts hall of fame and travels the nation teaching crime awareness and reality based street defense takes the time to council and motivate each child. They are a kung fu/mixed martial arts school with reality based street defense. They teach a Bully Busters program, child safety, weapons, grappling, mixed martial arts sparring in a safe enviorement and true American values. My children are currently in their school and have not had to purchase any books. The school gives out FREE Kono (kids martial arts) magazines to all students. I have a feeling that the negative comments I'm reading are by the jealous smaller schools in the area. I strongly recommend this school.

Pros: Best in Doral and Miami

Cons: none
